About Sportnex AS-3
The Sportnex AS-3 is a new-generation summer M+S asymmetric grand touring tyre. NANKANG improved three things in it: sidewall strength, noise and wet behaviour.

The reinforced sidewall stands up better to pressure and to weight. That matters most on the new plug-in hybrids and electric cars: the battery makes them considerably heavier than a petrol car of the same size, and the load goes straight into the sidewall.
The second change is noise. The AS-3 is the quietest tyre NANKANG has built, and quiet is the advantage a driver notices first. Comfort is up with it, and wet grip is clearly better than the generation before.
Against the NS-25: the AS-3 wins on sidewall durability, silence, comfort and rain. The M+S marking covers mild winter conditions; snow and ice still need a winter tyre.
