Balance is the point of it. The outer shoulder of the asymmetric pattern holds the car through a dry corner, while the wide inner channels and dense siping clear water in the rain and keep the tyre working through a mild winter on wet, cold asphalt. Baku's winter is not snow, it is wet tarmac between +5 and -2, and this tyre is written for exactly that.

The other half is comfort and wear. A quiet ride, a soft answer over a hard joint, and a long life from a firm compound. It is not meant for deep snow or ice: that needs a winter tyre.
